Book Spine Poetry--National Poetry Month
The above photo shows my first Book Spine Poem. I don't know who invented Book Spine Poetry. It's a version of "found" poetry, I suppose, looking at your bookshelf and deciding what titles could go together in what order to make some kind of sense. In any case, it's fun!
Is it real poetry? Hardly ever. Could it become a good poem? Possibly. You never know what phrases might spark an idea, a metaphor, or a line.

I have never heard of this before! So cool...and it makes so much sense since books usually have cool titles. I should try this out! Do you put the books according to how you found them, or?...
ReplyDeleteHi, Lys, thanks for stopping by. I chose books off my shelf and put them in order to create a sort of "found poetry." I hope it makes some sort of sense and focuses on a particular theme or idea. But it is possible that you could find books on a shelf in such an order already. Have fun!
